MovieJuice meets The Film Crew (a.k.a., Mystery Science Theater 3000)

By Mark Ramsey | July 30, 2007 | Permanent link

If you think crappy old B-movies are way more entertaining with a quick-witted commentary track, then you are probably a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Although long gone from the cable scene, MST3K is being resuscitated as The Film Crew.

Yes, Mike Nelson, Bill Corbett, and Kevin Murphy are back (sans robots) to pillage the cinematic sins of days gone by.

Check out the two new Film Crew movies available this week: Killers from Space (from which I deserved more space) and Hollywood After Dark (which really turned out my lights).

I sat down with two-thirds of the crew at the Comic-Con in San Diego. Check it out and discover why they hate Mike Nelson, why too much of Rue McClanahan is really too much, what happens when MovieJuice challenges MST3K to an exciting arm-wrestle, and witness an impromptu commentary track - for my birthday video!

"You get what you pay for," as Bill put it.

It's 20 minutes of fun and well worth your while.
